Speaker 3: Today on our 2018 The BMW X1, we're going to be installing Tekonsha's heavy duty vehicle wiring harness, part number 119190KIT. This wiring kit is going to give you all the necessary lighting. This includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps. It uses a module that taps into the wiring for your tail lamp assemblies. It reads all those signals and provides them to your 4-pole connector. What's nice about this, and if the module is providing the signals back to your 4-pole connector, so you don't have to worry about any shorts in your trailing causing damage to your vehicle. more

Today on our 2017 BMW X1 we'll be having a look at and installing the Tekonsha Upgraded Heavy Duty Module Light Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness with Install Kit, part number 119190KIT. Here's what our wiring looks like installed. As you can see, we have an adequate length wire harness to get close to where our hitch is. It's even longer, we could actually have it attached to our hitch as well if we wanted to. This wiring harness gives us our basic functions that we need in order to safely and legally tow a trailer. We'll have off of our brown wire here our taillight and running light circuit. more

Today on our 2014 BMW X1, we're going to be take a look at installing the Curt Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light w Converter Hardwire Kit, Four Pole End, including a tester. Part number 56146KIT. Here's what it looks like once it's installed. As you can see it's going to give you a four flat trailer tow package with a weather-tight cap. It's going to be kept inside your vehicle, that way it's not going to be out in the elements to be able to get dirt and corroded. To use your system, you raise up your cover, you're going to take your four pole flat connector, you're going to drape it over the back of your vehicle, making sure to keep it away from the latch, so you don't get it pinched in there ... more
